Dr. Joyce is a clinical psychologist specializing in child, adolescent, and transitional age adult psychological and neuropsychological evaluations. She received her doctoral degree in clinical psychology from William James College with her study and training focusing on integrative neuropsychological assessment and child and family psychotherapeutic services.


Dr. Joyce's training and professional experience includes extensive experience evaluating a wide range of pediatric psychiatric disorders and neurodevelopmental disorders. She has particular expertise in complex ADHD assessments, dyslexia, and autism spectrum disorder, as well as co-occurring anxiety, mood, and childhood behavioral disturbances. Dr. Joyce also
maintains a small child and adolescent psychotherapy practice in order to help children and families coping with these challenges.

 

Dr. Joyce is known for blending her clinical expertise, leadership, and wealth of diverse experience working with individuals across the lifespan for nearly three decades and is uniquely qualified to work with children, adolescents, and families.

 

Among her professional roles she has taught middle and high school sciences and other subjects in public schools and therapeutic residential schools, been a molecular biologist and genetic engineer as well as a neuropsychoimmunology research scientist (University of Rochester Medical School). She has
provided individual, family, and group psychotherapy and neuropsychological testing for over seven years at private and hospital outpatient clinics and a therapeutic residential school (including Bradley Hospital in Riverside, Rhode Island and the Walker School in Needham, MA).


She has also been a childbirth educator and birthing doula and served on the board of Partner's in Perinatal Health representing the Boston Area Childbirth Education and Nursing Council and has decades of experience as a developer and teacher of mindfulness-based personal development classes.


Dr. Joyce brings a therapeutic approach to her evaluation practice in order to provide a positive testing experience and foster a trusting relationship with children and their families. Her presentation of evaluation findings is straightforward and understandable, compassionate, educational, and collaborative. Her reports are intended to be accessible to a range of
potential audiences (e.g., families, therapists, medical providers, psychiatrists, schools) and provide thoughtful, individualized, and usable recommendations.
