Dr. Denton is a licensed mental health clinician with over 20 years of experience working in public health. She has worked with adults and children with developmental disabled problems, behavioral issues, chronic illnesses and substance use disorders. Dr. Denton worked at Dimock Center for 7 years providing group, individual and family therapy services to diverse population with HIV, substance use disorders and co-occurring mental health needs.

 

She moved to the United States as a teenager and grew up in the Town of Milton MA. Born in Montego Bay Jamaica, received her bachelors from the University of Massachusetts/ Boston, MA., and her masters from Cambridge College, MA. She graduated from Regis College, MA. with a doctorate in Education. Her research dissertation focused on the underutilization of counseling center services by students who identify as Black. She has done clinical internships at Dimock Detox and the University of Massachusetts Autism Research Program.

 

Dr. Denton area of expertise include behavioral issues, substance use disorders and anxiety disorders. Her special interests include the management of chronic illnesses and depression.
