She is fluent in English and Farsi and works with youth (including children on the autism and ADHD spectrums) experiencing challenges with emotional and behavioral regulation, anxiety, depression, trauma, social skills, and coping with everyday stressors.
Nikoo's professional experience includes providing individual and group therapy, as well as therapeutic support integrated throughout children’s and adolescents’ daily routines, activities, and social interactions within structured treatment programs, and conducting psychological testing and assessments.
Nikoo takes a warm, collaborative, and developmentally informed approach to therapy, drawing from cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), dialectical behavior therapy (DBT), play-based, behavioral, and other approaches to address each child’s individual needs. She values collaborating with parents and caregivers to help them better understand their child’s strengths and challenges and to support meaningful progress at home, at school, and in their relationships.
Outside of her professional work, Nikoo enjoys art, cooking, working out, and spending time with her family.
Nikoo will be seeing patients under the supervision of Nancie Joyce, Psy.D.
